Not everyone loves planning holidays. Some have a more relaxed approach and just see what happens day to day. Either way there are ways to make the most of your precious vacation time. We’ve compiled a little list of ways to make the most of your time in Candidasa to help out.

1. Book your dives

If you’re a diver you’ll want to get as many dives booked as possible for your stay in Candidasa. There are so many amazing dive sites in the area it’s a very popular destination for divers from all over the world. If you’re traveling in the high seasons from July-September and December-January, you’ll want to make sure you have dives booked with Gangga Divers. Diving is the #1 way of making the most of your time in Candidasa!

2. Get up for sunrise

I know we’re not all morning people but Candidasa is gorgeous at sunrise. We promise you the peaceful mornings are definitely worth getting up for. Grab a cup of coffee or tea and find a comfy spot by the pool looking out to sea and watch the world wake up. Your day may start earlier than usual in Candidasa but going to bed early is always an option in this sleepy town. You’ll be totally relaxed and be able to fit more into your day if you don’t spend the morning in bed.

3. Prepare for the weather

Bali has 2 seasons, dry and wet. Although the wet season is still warm, you won’t want to be outside if the rain is really bucketing down. It’s good to be prepared for the wet weather by having things planned for days when it’s not possible to lay on the beach or by the pool. Luckily diving isn’t stopped by the rain so there is no worry of that although there may be times when high waves will make it too dangerous to dive.

These are great days for catching up on reading, writing, or studying up on marine life. Going on a day trip for a bit of shopping or checking out museums in Ubud or Denpasar is also a good option. Hot springs are especially wonderful when it’s raining too. You can book a driver from Lotus Bungalows for these trips.

4. Explore Candidasa

There is more to see than the sea in Candidasa. You can walk around the villages meeting local people and seeing how they live. The Balinese people are really friendly so make the most of their hospitality by taking time to get to know a little Bahasa Indonesia and talking to them. It’s a wonderful thing to gain some insight into the way of life in Bali while you’re on the island.
